Los Angeles has been "home" for the past 5 years and I have lived here longer than any other city in my adult life. I wanted to spend more time discovering the beauty of the city and getting to know her. During this Winter, I would visit my favorite places in the city and spend time working, reading, and reflecting. I began to take photographs and record videos that would collectively make a tribute to the place that I now call my home. Shot with an iPhone 6 and inspired by Colin Rich's work, I put this short film together. My hope is that you enjoy it and discover the Los Angeles that I have come to love.

I have had the opportunity to live in six cities after college, to meet wonderful people, and be a part of their community. As these friends have become my family away from home and opened their hearts to me, I wanted to give back last holiday season. With four days to Christmas, I shared the idea with a friend about creating something but with no vision or plan how it would come out. With the intent to reach out to 20 people, it quickly exploded into 250+ participants and I found myself reaching out to friends of friends that I did not personally know to create a surprise and delight moment for the friends that would participate. With no video creation experience during the process, I learned how to use Final Cut Pro and other video software. I hope you can enjoy the meaning of this video.
